The Village of Minerva Park Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer. The department is a full-time police department with nine full-time officers and one part-time officer as needed. The unchartered picturesque village has a population of approximately 1,500 residents and is located in the northeast corner of Franklin County, southwest of Westerville.
The department is seeking interested applicants with the following minimum qualifications to fill open positions: must be a U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and be a current certified Ohio peace officer. Preferred qualifications are a bachelor’s degree and prior law enforcement experience. A background check, truth verification test, psychological test, medical and physical test will be required on all selected candidates. The starting salary for full-time officers is $23.00 per hour with benefits.
