Chiefs’ In-Service and Annual Conference

The OACP Education Committee has put together another outstanding lineup of great presenters on current topics of interest to law enforcement executives. Please see the Conference Agenda now posted on the OACP web site. The breakout sessions include updates on Criminal Law, Personnel Law, Union Contract Negotiations, Public Records,  as well as the latest on the new Marijuana Law, Marsy’s Law, an Officer Wellness Initiatives.

These must attend breakout sessions on Monday, April 29 are nestled between two excellent educational general sessions.

The first general session kicks off the conference on April 28, Sunday afternoon with a presentation by Captain Michael Abrashoff, ret. U.S. Navy. His renowned book, It’s Your Ship is well known to CLEE graduates and his presentation is an inspiring and challenging message about leadership.

The conference closes out on Tuesday morning, April 30 with Captain David Atkins’ presentation: No Excuses” Break Through Fear and Adversity to Play a Bigger Game in Business and Life.  His high energy presentation provides a unique framework to help everyone move past fear and learn to persevere for greater successes.

In addition to the education sessions are numerous opportunities for networking as well as a Sunday evening banquet, Chief’s Reception, large Exhibitor Showcase, and new this year, breakfast reception for the non-Chiefs attending the conference.
